A sales consultant of Infiniti Oman was among the top winners at the second regional sales skills competition that recently concluded in Dubai. Suhail Bahwan Automobiles is the exclusive dealer of Infiniti in the sultanate.

Manu Payyappilly Mohanan, Infiniti Vehicle Sales, Oman, was selected the first runner-up at the Infiniti Sales Frontline Competition, hosted and launched by Infiniti Middle East Training Academy. The first position went to a sales consultant from Kuwait and the second runner-up position was a Bahrain consultant.

Nine champions from across the region participated in the competition, which was about product, general automotive information, competition, sales process, Infiniti technology and technical know-how. The competition that focused mainly on frontline sales was held at The Sofitel Hotel Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

The competition included a written examination, product walk-around presentation and a one-minute question and answer session that tested the participant's ability to explain Infiniti's range of technologies.

In the session on 'Face the Trainer', each of the nine champions faced off against the head trainer of the Infiniti Middle East Training Academy, who asked a set of challenging questions that had to be answered in a given time. Each representative got one chance to consult their sales manager who sat on the hot seat for the answer. This section aimed on building and improving the relationships between the sales managers and sales frontline.

Juergen Schmitz, managing director of Infiniti Middle East, who opened the ceremony said, 'The objective of the competition was to recognise the best and most qualified sales champion representative of the Infiniti brand. It was gratifying to see representatives of our dealers display superior ability as they competed with their contemporaries. It also got them the opportunity to get the best-in-industry sales training.'

Adib Takieddine, deputy general manager sales and network development, and Berna Acena, manager, Infiniti Middle East Dealer Network Development, Customer Quality and Training, handed over the awards.

The contest was conceptualised to train Infiniti's sales executives to offer unparalleled customer care.

The Infiniti Middle East training Academy aims their staff to offer the best experience to customers by having a deep understanding of Infiniti products and customer needs.
