GCC investments in UAE hit USD1.17bn in 2015


(MENAFN) The GCC industrial investments in the UAE stood at USD1.17bn last year, with USD0.48bn or 42 percent of the investments in the non-metallic mining industry.

Furthermore, almost USD24.49mn worth of GCC investments in the country went to metal products and USD111.59mn were in the food and beverage industry.

Additionally, the number of new licenses granted by the UAE to GCC citizens to practice economic activities reached 1.899 in the cited year.

The volume of direct GCC imports to the UAE reached USD3.37bn among the Jan-Sep period of this year, down from USD5.28bn in the same period last year.
