Jordan- Ministerial team visits Central Market for fruits, vegetables


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 2 (Petra) -- A ministerial team, on Tuesday, paid a visit to the Greater Amman Municipality's Central Market for fruits and vegetables and checked on its workflow.

The team, included the ministers of Agriculture Reda Khawaldeh, Municipal Affairs, Walid Al Masri, Finance Omar Malhas and Labor Ali Ghazawi, toured the market's departments and met with its customers, brokers, farmers and retailers.

Director of the central market, Abdul Majid Odwan, briefed the team on the market's work mechanism in dealing with agricultural products and following-up on the process of buying and selling.

He also highlighted recent actions taken by the Amman Municipality to develop the market's infrastructure and maintenance, which aim to improve its work environment and mechanism, to serve all parties dealing with the market.

The minsters voiced their admiration of stories of educated Jordanian young people, who work in the market to saver money and acquire new skills for their future.

The minsters also checked on conditions of foreign labor working in the market.
