(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Aug.2 (Petra) -- Two young Palestinians were reportedly injured early Tuesday by Israeli occupation forces near Prophet Joseph's Tomb east of the West Bank city of Nablus.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that clashes erupted between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian citizens during a provocative visit of Jewish extremist settlers to the Muslim's holy shrine.
A Palestinian young man was hit by a shrapnel in the face, while the other was injured in the thigh and stomach, after Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets against the citizens.
Also in other parts of the West Bank, Israeli troops detained 26 Palestinians after raiding the cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus, Tulkarem, Jenin as well as a number of neighborhoods in the occupied East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Club .
