Japan imports 24.7 million barrels of crude oil from UAE in June 2016

TOKYO, 2nd August, 2016 (WAM) - According to data released by the Agency of Energy and Natural Resource in Tokyo, Japan imported 24.7 million barrels of crude oil from the United Arab Emirates in June, 2016, accounting for 26.4% of Japan's total crude imports, the agency, which is part of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, said.

Saudi Arabia provided 30.407 million barrels, or 32.4% of the total, while Kuwait, Qatar, Russia and Iran provided 5.4%, 9.8%, 4.9% and 8.8% respectively.

Arab oil accounted for 76.033 or 80.9%, of Japan's petroleum needs in June, and Japan's total crude oil imports for the month amounted to 93.970 million barrels, the agency said.
