KRCS reaches refugees in mountains southeast of Beirut


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Aug 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) declared on Monday handover of relief supplies to Syrian refugee families in the town of Sheheem in the mountainous region of Iqlim Al-Kharroub southeast of the Lebanese capital.

Mahdi Al-Hesar, chief of the KRCS field team, told KUNA that the aid items, including food and detergents, were given to 250 Syrian families in the market town.

The Kuwaiti relief association has been very much active in Lebanon, delivering aid to Syrians in need. The KRCS teams have reached remote regions in the country to aid the Syrian refugees.

There are more than one million Syrian refugees in Lebanon. (end) mah.rk
