(MENAFN) The Sharjah Intl' Airport posted an 11.55 percent increase in passenger traffic in the first half of this year, compared to the same half of 2015.
Accordingly, the airport hosted more than 5.35mn travelers from Jan to June, compared with 4.79mn passengers for the same period last year.
On the other hand, there were more than 36.000 aircraft movements posted in the cited half this year, reflecting an increase of 5.74 percent.
The positive performance in the traffic movement was attributed to the opening of new airlines and flights to new destinations.
