Nod for works on Safari Park main building


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, has approved work to begin on the main building of the Dubai Safari Park project at a total cost of Dh151 million.

The step is part of the Government of Dubai's efforts to make the emirate a unique world destination which provides high quality and integrated services.

Essa Al Haj Al Maidoor, Deputy Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said that the main building work for Safari Dubai will include smart, secure and environment-friendly services, including the use of treated water renewable energy, interactive software features for visitors, surveillance cameras, and free WiFi.

He added that the building, which is due for completion at the end of the year, will include a theatre for hosting events to accommodate a thousand people, a clean energy production garden, and an interactive garden for children.

Safari Dubai is one of several eco-friendly landmark projects implemented by the Dubai Municipality with an estimated total cost of up to Dh1 billion.
