True to its tradition of presenting quality musical concerts, Muscat Unique Diamond Entertainment is all set to host 'Music of India' on August 26 at Oman Auditorium, Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, with the legendary Acharya Sanjay Chakrabarty and his talented wife Shrimati Reshmi Chakrabarty as well as four versatile talented singers (disciples of Chakrabarty) Kinjal Chattopadhyay, Soumen Nandi, Bishakh Jyoti and Ankan Aankki.

Chakrabarty, a world class Indian thinker, vocalist, instrumentalist, composer, lyricist and inventor of the science of better living, has grown to be a complete exponent musician over the years.

From his early teens, he worked with a galaxy of legendary musicians like Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Vidushi Girija Devi and, of course, his elder brother Pandit Ajay Chakrabarty and performed at thousands of concerts both in India and abroad along with them as well as individually.

Famous vocalists like Asha Bhosle, Manna Dey, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Hariharan, Rashid Khan and Sunidhi Chauhan have also sung many of his compositions.

The talented four young artists from Kolkata are known for their youthfulness, energy and versatility over a myriad of songs covering filmy and non-filmy songs in Hindi and Bengali.

All four of them have started their musical carrier through the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show where they earned attention and rave reviews from musical aficionados such as Hariharan, Bappi Lahiri, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan and Vasundhara Das.

Trained under the classical tutelage of Chakrabarty and his wife, the singers with their mellifluous voices have already captivated audiences in many locations within the country and abroad and are sure to bring a special concert to the audience on the evening of August 26.

Muscat Unique Diamond Entertainment has engaged in promoting the socio-cultural tradition of the Indian diaspora living in Muscat through various thoughtful and entertaining events like this.

This is much to the liking of the local population and the support from its esteemed sponsors to carry on the rich tradition of art and culture.

'Music of India' will let us know the surreal influence that Indian classical music has had on the masses, appealing the commercial side of contemporary Indian music.

The singers will take the audiences through an entertaining journey of Bollywood music in an unplugged style.

It will be all about the history of Indian music as well as how it emerged and evolved through the years.
