AL MUKALA, 30th July, 2016 (WAM) -- Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has face-lifted the health centre in Broom directorate in Hadramout Governorate, Yemen.

The move comes within the framework of the ERC's drive to restore and normalise the lives of people in the wake of recent events in Hadramout governorate.

The UAE ERC team confirmed that the authority has completed the first phase of the restoration and maintenance of the building and provided interior equipment. The team said the opening of the health centre, the only one in the directorate, will cater to a large segment of the people.

Technical Director at the Health Centre, Ahmed Bazarah, thanked the United Arab Emirates and the ERC for their efforts in the rehabilitation of infrastructure in Hadramout and the health centre that serves residents of the directorate and its neighbouring areas.

The renovation of this centre is part of the ERC's wider programme to restore damaged infrastructure. Several health centres have been so far rehabilitated and delivered to competent authorities to offer badly needed medical services.
