Dr. Bacher received her psychology diploma in 1983 at Nova Southeastern University. She is dually licensed as a clinical and school psychologist and was a University School Assistant Professor for 23 years at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Bacher also served as a clinical instructor in the department of Behavioral Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. She maintains an active membership with the Collaborative Family Law Institute and feels that her success is attributable to her genuine interest in helping people. From the inception of the Florida division of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, Dr. Bacher served as President for ten years. She is the recipient of the American Psychological Association prestigious Heiser award as well as many other honors and recognitions, such as the Florida Psychological Association the Michael B. Spellman, Ph.D. Award recognizing leadership through example in maintaining high standards of ethics and service within the profession of psychology in 2005.
