She is a Registered Nurse with thirty-three years of experience and extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, including nursing leadership, grievance and appeals, case investigations, and case management/quality management. Vesandra is currently serving as Utilization Management Specialist in Los Angeles, California. Her last core role was with L.A.Care Health Plan, where she acted as Utilization Management Nurse.
Vesandra initially attended Los Angeles Trade–Technical College in Los Angeles, California, where she completed the vocational and registered nursing programs and received her associate degrees of nursing. She then went to California State University, Dominguez Hills, and was awarded her bachelor degree of science in Health Sciences in 1995. Furthermore, Vesandra holds a master degree of healthcare administration from The University of Phoenix acquired in 2010. She feels that her success is attributable to her genuine love for nursing, desire to improve patient care, encouragement and support from mentors, and her family and colleagues. She is also inquisitive and interested in the subject matter.
