She is a Registered Nurse with fifty-two years of experience in her field and extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, including counseling, psychiatry, and psychology. Dorothy is currently serving patients as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Bodenheimer Psychological & Counseling Center in Anniston, Alabama.
Dorothy attended Homer G. Phillips Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri, and became a registered nurse in 1964. She then completed her bachelor degree of science in nursing at Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri, in 1998. Dorothy also holds a master degree of arts in counseling acquired in 2001 at Covenant Theological Seminary in Creve Coeur, Missouri, which ultimately led her to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Dorothy is also a Board Certified Professional Counselor with the American Psychotherapy Association and was a certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse with the American Nurses Credentialing Center until 2014. She maintains her professional membership with the American Association of Christian Counselors and dedicates her spare time to traveling.
