The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Monette Santos-Moss, RN, BSN, MSN, OCN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders In Healthcare. Monette is a Clinical and Infusion Services Nurse Manager working for UC San Diego Health in San Diego, California.
Monette became a Registered Nurse in 1999 and in 2014, she graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing and received her Master of Science in Nursing Degree emphasizing on Executive Leadership. Monette has been a nurse for over 17 years specializing in Oncology Nursing. In 2003, she received her certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse by the Board of the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. Monette has submitted a few nursing abstracts and in April 2016, she was a podium speaker at the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) 41st Annual Congress.
As a Nurse Manager, Monette is in charge of the operations and clinical practice of several departments. She manages department budget and finance, strategic planning, growth and volume projections. She ensures department delivery of quality and safe nursing practice and department compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. She is in charge of hiring personnel and employee evaluation of job performance among others. Monette is passionate, dedicated and committed to lifelong learning and education. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, and when not working she likes to travel with her family and experience different cultures.
