(MENAFN- The Peninsula) DOHA: More than 90 percent of space for ‘Made In Qatar Exhibition 2016"; has been booked. For the first time, the exhibition will be held outside Qatar. It is scheduled in Riyadh from November 6 to 9.
'The exhibition has been held four times in Qatar,” said Rashid bin Nasser Al Kaabi, Head of the organising committee and head of the Committee of Industry at Qatar Chamber. Preparations are in full swing. Many Qatari companies have applied to participate.
Al Kaabi urged Qatari companies to participate as it is a good opportunity for them to showcase their products outside the country. The Saudi market is very big and open for all investments and industries. The exhibition will witness several important developments and changes from its appearance to content, Al Kaabi said. The number of participants, including leading companies and factories, is expected to double compared to the previous edition that attracted over 220 companies and factories, he added.
Expo to boost Qatar-Saudi partnership
The expo will be held at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, over an area of 10,000sqm.
The exhibition aims at promoting the Qatari industry, encouraging use of Qatari products and updating the Saudi business community on the latest developments in participating sectors.
It also aims at providing opportunity for exhibitors and manufacturers to meet and introduce Qatari products to the Saudi community directly and encouraging Saudi businessmen and women to invest in industrial projects in Qatar.
The exhibition is also a big chance for Qatari companies and institutions to exchange experiences with their Saudi counterparts.
The exhibition seeks to encourage business men and women to make deals with their Saudi counterparts, and strengthen Qatar-Saudi economic partnership.
It also seeks to open up new markets outside the country for Qatari companies and promote local companies, especially small industries.
The exhibition shows Qatar";s efforts to encourage investors to enter the industry sector, which is key to sustainable development and forge effective partnerships between Qatari and Saudi business men and women.
