Brand new to the London market WideCells Group Plc (LON:WDC) chief executive Joao Andrade and non-executive director Marilyn Orcharton stopped by the Stocktube studio to give investors an introduction to the stem cell services provider's business.

WideCells made its stock market debut on Wednesday, listing on the main board of the LSE following a 2mln share placing.

Andrade describes WideCells as a 'mission driven' company. Its offering is essentially an insurance based product, with additional stem-cell related services.

'Our mission is to make stem cell treatment accessible and affordable,' the WideCells chief executive

'What WideCells has built is a product that will allow families to access stem cell treatments, access the best stem cell specialists in the world and also be able to treatments in the best treatment centres.'

He explains there are some 3mln people worldwide who have paid around 2,000 to store their baby's stem cells, in stem cell storage facilities, but, they are largely unaware that stem cell treatments can cost around 300,000 so many families won't be able to afford it.
