(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - N.America) Canadian oil junior Maxim Resources Inc (CVE:MXM) has had its application for an extension to the Hassi Berkane licence in Morocco turned down by the country's oil ministry.
In a brief statement, Maxim added that the ministry, ONHYM, had also issued a default notice on the licence. Maxim said it was assessing its position and would issue a further update in due course. The junior had already received two extensions, in June last year and January this year, the last of which ran to 15 July.
