China to refurbish old manufacturing zones in 6y

(MENAFN) China continues to relocate plants from overcrowded cities to cheaper locales and transform old urban manufacturing areas, and this process will most likely be fully completed by 2022.

According to recent reports, this procedure signifies the world's 2nd largest economy's latest move to improve urban planning to attain maintainable economic and social development.

Moreover, the push will help ease pressure on mega-cities and drive economic growth in the long run, although relocating and transforming old urban industrial zones is typically difficult task.

Up to the current month, 100 old urban industrial areas have created conversion plans, plus the National Development and Reform Commission has funded 86 industrial zones in the past 3 years.
