Turkey prepares to largely surge Iranian gas import


(MENAFN) Iran and Turkey has long enjoyed healthy mutual relationship on many different levels, especially in the oil and gas sector, as revealed by the latest reports.

Turkey is seeking more gas export from neighboring Iran amid an unprecedented harsh winter conditions, as stated by the National Iranian Gas Company.

Moreover, Iran's current gas export to Turkey stands at 31 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d), and it's no secret that the region is going to face a harsh winter.

National Iranian Gas Company's gas storage in pipelined stands at about 1 billion cubic meters of gas plus more 2.1 billion cm stored in 2 underground reservoirs.
