(MENAFN) Myanmar, the Southeast Asian Republic, has made a whopping USD567 million from jade export throughout the first six months of the current year, based on recent reports.
In accordance, the country's mining sector in general earned an overall USD895 million in the same timeframe, hence it projects to get over 1USD billion from mining in the current fiscal year.
In particular, Jade is basically an ornamental rock, and the term jade is applied to two different metamorphic rocks that are composed of different silicate minerals; Nephrite and Jadeite.
Moreover, foreign investment in mining sector amounted to USD2.87 billion in 70 projects, accounting for 4.85pct of the total as of last month since Myanmar opened to such investment in late 1988.
