Bulgaria posts 7.9pct fall in joblessness rate over Q2


(MENAFN) Bulgaria, the southeast European republic, has witnessed its unemployment rate drop to 7.9pct throughout the previous quarter, hitting the lowest level since the end of 2009.

The joblessness degree declined for both men and women and stood at 8 percent for men and 7.6 percent for women, hence in the cited quarter; there were 261,000 people listed as unemployed.

In more detail, among all unemployed individuals, 13.9 percent had higher education, 52 percent had upper secondary education and 34.1 percent had lower secondary education or less.

Furthermore, the labor force is 2.45 million people, of whom 7.1 percent are employed in agriculture, 35.2 percent are employed in industry and 57.7 percent are employed in the services segment.
