Security studies award launched

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) DOHA: The Centre for Strategic Studies at the Ministry of Interior has announced the launch of the ministry";s Award 2016 for security studies, under the topic ‘Enhancing the role of social security in Qatari society";.

Participants should focus on social security in Qatari society, the role of social institutions in achieving social security based on Qatar National Vision 2030, and provide a research plan which can be implemented to enhance the role of these institutions.

The ministry has selected the entities which can participate in the award, which includes research and studies centres at national universities and other higher education institutions in Qatar and the other GCC states.

The ministry said the applicant must be a Qatari, and the work should be the first-time submission. A participant is only allowed to submit one work.

The award is worth QR100,000 and the winners will also get certificates of appreciation with their names and the names of their research on them.
