Swiss, Italian team up to build largest factory in Iran

(MENAFN) In cooperation with Swiss and Italian top investors, Iran's biggest solar power plant is set to be constructed in North Khorasan Province, based on the latest reports.

In detail, the building of the power plant will start in three to four weeks; hence the 1st phase of the project, with a capacity of 30 MW, will be built in an area of 60 hectares.

All the needed equipment of the facility, except inverters and panels, will be supplied by Iranian producers, although foreign contractors have earmarked USD43.8mn for the scheme.

Additionally, the plant is intended to offer an enormous support for the cities of Garmeh and Jajarm, therefore they will be no longer suffering from power shortage.
