'Advanced level' Pokemon Go UAE accounts up for grabs

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Two Pokemon Go accounts have gone on sale on the web, one of which is selling for Dh15,000.

In a posting on a Dubai website, the poster boasts that he has 92 Pokemon in his 'Pokedex', and that his account is on level 22.

Another Pokemon Go account - which is selling for Dh1,500 - has 45 Pokemon in the Pokedex, including four 'starters' (Wartotle, Ivysaue, Charmender, Pickachu) as well as rare Pokemon not available in the UAE. Additionally, the account has 22 Lucky eggs, 25 incenses, three lure modules, and 107 Magikarp candies.

"It's not a surprise to us to see the Pokemon Go game picking up on our platform over the weekend. The entire office at dubizzle is flicking Pokballs into restaurant corners to try and snag some of the city's Pikachus and Magnetites," said Razan Al Masri, a marketing manager at Dubizzle UAE. "Previously, we have had a variety of unique ads from airplanes to a Batmobile posted for sale on dubizzle. Therefore, the Pokemon Go fans are the latest addition to join our unique community."

"Dubizzle is a platform that facilitates and encourages fair trade. People have the right to trade freely; if they wish to sell something that they no longer use, it is a choice," he added.

"Our gaming section at dubizzle has always been populated with the latest and newest games, and on that note, one of the sellers managed to reach an advanced level in Pokemon Go in two weeks and he's already getting a lot of traction on his ad."
