IMF gives S. Korea better economic estimate for 2017

(MENAFN) South Korea's economy is forecasted to progress 3 percent in 2017 from a year earlier, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In more detail, the IMF has adjusted upward its previous projection despite increasing economic uncertainties from Britain's exit from the European Union.

While the statement is not a settled decision, data shows the updated result is still significant, as the Brexit issue continues to impact the global economy.

Meanwhile, Asia's fourth largest economy's own central bank strongly predicts that the local economy will advance 2.9 percent throughout the following year.
