Italy, Iran take joint relations to next level


(MENAFN) Iran and Italy eagerly intend to build a united mining firm in the port city of Chabahar, which will mark the 1st step towards a health business relationship between the two nations.

An agreement worth USD2 billion has been sealed between Italy's Danieli mining firms and Iran's IMIDRO and to set up a mining enterprise named Persian Metallic with 40 and 60pct of investment respectively.

Moreover, the two sides sealed many more deals upon a recent joint presidential meeting, and as a matter of fact, they closed contracts valued at up USD18.4 billion in the energy sector among many others.

In more detail, one of the deals included a pipeline contract worth USD5 billion, and up to USD4.5 billion contracts in agriculture and modern technologies for Italy's infrastructure firm Condotte d'Acqua.
