Arab Lawyers Union denounce the tragic situation in Syria

Cairo, Shawwal 18, 1437, Jul 23, 2016, SPA -- The Arab Lawyers Union today denounced the tragic situation suffered by the Syrian people, confirming its support for the efforts aiming to put an end to the crisis and reach a political solution that preserves the Syria state, it institutions, the integrity of its territories and safety of its people and combat of terrorism on its territories as well.
In a statement following the end of its permanent office's meeting which was held in the Egyptian city of Sharam Al-Sheikh, and lasted for three days, the Union called for reaching peace in the region, and for the Palestinian people to obtain their non-alienable rights on the bases of two-state solution on the 1967 parallel with Eastern Al-Quds as Palestine's capital, solving the refugees issue according to the international legitimacy resolutions, the Arab peace initiative and expressed complete rejection of the settlement, and displacement Israeli policies.
The statement called on the parties in Iraq to reject domestic differences and restore mutual confidence bridges.
On Yemen, the lawyers said the solution of the Yemeni crisis comes through political settlement only, warning from the continuation of war and sedition which, the statement said, would leave political, economic, and ethical burdens behind and which the Yemeni people would suffer from for a long time.
