Kuwaiti, expat caught selling gold bullions cheaply: report

KUWAIT CITY, July 22: A Kuwaiti citizen and an unidentified expatriate were arrested for selling unlicensed gold bullions at cheap rates, reports Al-Shahed daily.

According to sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about two men attempting to sell large quantity of unlicensed gold bullions in the market at low costs, a team was formed for investigations. After confirming the information, an undercover agent was sent to the suspects for purchasing certain quantity of gold bullions.

Eventually, the suspects were arrested red-handed during the transaction in Nugra area. When questioned, the suspects confessed that they obtained it from an African country. They were referred with the confiscated gold to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
