Iran reaffirms intentions to boost oil output
(MENAFN) Iran hasn't wasted any precious time as the sanctions have just got lifted, and the first thing it did is announce its full readiness to raise crude oil exports by half a million barrels a day.
Additionally, Iran is very thrilled to have such major assets and fully supports the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC), which is the leading export arm of the country, in the international arena.
NITC is a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company, which was privatized in 2009; it is the largest tanker company in the Middle East and fourth in the world, and it transports Iranian crude to export markets.
"Today is a historic day for the country for which a lot of efforts have been made over the past years; most of Iran's oil will naturally be shipped to China as it used to be Iran's major customer during the sanctions.
