(MENAFN) Empower, one of the world's largest district cooling service providers, has won a USD490 million contract by the UAE-based and leading regional developer Nakheel.
By the contract, Empower will provide provision of district cooling services to its key developments - Jumeirah Village Circle and Jumeirah Village Triangle.
Moreover, Empower will construct six cooling plants in the two mentioned locations, to provide 260,000 refrigeration tons (RT) for the 400 buildings.
"The scheme is divided into several phases and Empower will conduct 30,000 RT by the fourth quarter of this year", said the chief executive of Empower, after signing the agreement.
