Iran's top province attracts leading global investors

(MENAFN) Chinese, South Korean, Italian and Swedish firms plan to finance and fund 10 manufacturing projects in the western Iranian province of Ilam.

Provincial officials are doing their best to facilitate the participation of foreign investors in projects and prepare the ground for their increased presence.

Accordingly, Mehran, located southwest of the province, will enable economic activities of foreign investors in the region once it is turned into a free zone.

"We also plan to establish branches of foreign banks and construct an airport in the proposed zone, thus signing a number of economic deals," said the provincial governor.
