Qatar- Advisory Council's 44th Ordinary Session Filled with Milestones


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha, July 18 (QNA) - Qatar's Advisory Council achieved a number of milestone's during its 44th ordinary session.
The Advisory Council discussed a number of draft laws, including one banning the smuggling of petroleum product. Another draft law the council discussed was regulating tobacco. A third draft law was the recent amendment of law no. 8 of 2002 regulating the work of commercial agents in Qatar. Another prominent draft law was regarding the human resources law.
There were many other draft laws discussed, including one on biological weapons, the official gazette. In addition to the amendment of law no. 15 for 2007 regulating the marketing and sales of products under the regulation of the government.
The council also examined plans that aim to improve services in Qatar's different villages.
The council also deliberated the significant rise in rent prices. They also requested to hold a hearing on doing business and establishing E-commerce websites in the State of Qatar. (QNA)
