2 Israeli soldiers hurt in West Bank stabbing

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Two Israeli soldiers were injured on Monday in an alleged stabbing attack in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli military said in a statement.

The army said the alleged Palestinian assailant was shot and detained after using a knife to stab two soldiers, who were taken to hospital, "during a routine activity" near the al-Arroub refugee camp, south of Bethlehem.

Since October, more than 200 Palestinians have been killed after allegedly carrying out attacks or in clashes with Israeli forces.

Thirty-four Israelis have been killed in the same period.
