Brussels, Shawwal 13, 1437, July 18, 2016, SPA -- Last week's deadly attack on Nice will only serve to strengthen the resolve of international allies to combat violent extremism, US Secretary of State John Kerry says in Brussels, according to dpa.
"France is a founding member of the European Union, and one of America's oldest allies, and the act of savagery in Nice will only strengthen our shared resolve to combat the forces of violent extremism everywhere," Kerry says after talks with EU foreign ministers.
A meeting in Washington this week of the international coalition fighting the Islamic State extremist group in Syria and Iraq will review what it is accomplishing, but also "self-criticize" and analyze what can be done better and faster, Kerry says.
