Jordan's inflation declines by 1.4 percent


(MENAFN) Inflation in the Jan-June period of this year fell down by 1.4 percent, compared to the same period of 2015.

On the other hand, main items that contributed to the drop were transportation by 7 percent, meat and poultry by 8 percent.

Additionally, other items that contributed were also fuel and lightening by 7.8 percent, as well as vegetables, fruits, nuts and others.

However, the increase in prices during the cited period was in rents at 3 percent, recreation at 5 percent, clothes at 3.6 percent and cigarettes at 1.6 percent.
