Iran focuses on construction of new major refineries


(MENAFN) Iran has injected USD716.6 million in the National Development Fund of Iran (NDFI) to support the Persian Gulf Refinery project, based on reports.

This project has been given extensive focus and funding from the government given its significant impact it will has on the country's oil industry when finished.

A total of USD202.8 million has been spent on it, and to emphasize its major importance, first phase would have a size of 120,000 b/d of gas condensate.

The refinery will produce 36 ml/d of high-octane gasoline and 14 ml/d of gasoil when fully operational, and these figures portray the importance of this scheme.
