Jordan confirms projects at USD15.9mn to ease refugee burden


(MENAFN) Jordan confirmed a package of donor-funded projects in order to help the kingdom's communities manage with the influx of Syrian refugees.

Additionally, the funds will finance social protection work and offer cash assistance to combat poverty.

Furthermore, the coordination committee approved foreign funding for 9 projects at a whole cost of USD15.9mn as part of the JPR.

Some 142 projects worth USD257mn have been proposed this year, including 109 projects dedicated to refugees at USD151mn, as well as 33 projects at USD106mn.
