Qatar confirms solidarity with Turkey in maintaining legitimacy

DOHA, 17th July, 2016 (WAM) -- The State of Qatar has strongly denunciated and condemned the attempted military coup attempt, leading to lawlessness and violation of the constitutional legitimacy in Turkey.

In a statement, the Qatari Foreign Ministry stressed its solidarity with Turkey in all legal measures the legitimate government takes to maintain the security and stability of Turkey and its brotherly people. The ministry also called for the need to preserve the constitutional legitimacy, respect for the will of the Turkish people, reject violence, and not to take any steps that would undermine the country's security and stability.
