Nice Attack: Four Moroccans Among Victims, Consular Source

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Four Moroccans were among the 84 people who were killed on Bastille Day Thursday night when a man drove a large box truck into a crowd in Nice, France.

A consular source told MAP on Saturday that the victims include a 13-year-old child, two women aged 43 and 49, and a 50-year-old man, who are all established in France.

The families of the victims recognized the bodies of their relatives, according to the same source.

The attack occurred when the driver of the truck ploughed on for 2km on the Promenade des Anglais at about 23:00 local time, before being shot dead by police.

Police reportedly found guns and grenades inside the lorry.

France's Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said 18 people were in a critical condition.

French President Francois Hollande declared three days of national mourning after this deadly attack.
