UAE government delegation to head to Kenya for UNCTAD conference

ABU DHABI, 13th July, 2016 (WAM) The UAE Ministry of Economy's delegation has prepared to head to the 14th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIV), to be held from 17th to 22nd July in Nairobi, Kenya.

The delegation comprises Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade Affairs, representatives of competent federal and local departments such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).

The conference will bring together heads of states and governments, ministers and other prominent players from the business world, civil society and academia to tackle global trade and economic development issues.

The quadrennial conference will also be a unique opportunity to address appropriate means of delivering on the post-2015 development agenda. It will also decide on UNCTAD's programme of work.
