Oman- 1 held for stealing RO10,000 from Dakhliyah fuel station

The ROP on Wednesday arrested an Asian expatriate for stealing RO10,000 from a filling station in the wilayat of Manah in Dakhliyah governorate.

A source at the ROP said that the accused was arrested during a joint operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department in the Buraimi governorate and the Anti-Crime Department at the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation.

'We had stepped up patrolling near the Wadi al Jizzi area in Buraimi after a tip-off that the accused was trying to escape from the country through this route,' he said. He said the accused has admitted to stealing the money. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
