ABU DHABI, 13th July, 2016 (WAM) -- The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, KF, has received an AED 2 million donation from Altaaqa Global to support its humanitarian initiatives being implemented in Yemen in order to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis in the light of their dire circumstances.

Mohammed Haji Khouri, Director-General of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, received the cheque from Peter den Boogert, Managing Director of Altaaqa Global, at the company's Abu Dhabi offices.

A KF source said that the company's initiative confirms the strong relations between KF, humanitarian organisations, and the private sector, which reflect positively on society in all areas.

The source also added that good relations among the economic and humanitarian sectors will contribute to improving performance and developing initiatives provided by the foundation inside and outside the country.

The donation came line with the company's commitment towards its social responsibilities aimed to enhance public welfare institutions, especially the Khalifa Foundation, which has a significant and ongoing humanitarian presence in Yemen.
