Jordan- Temperatures forecast to soar above annual average till Friday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 13 (Petra) -- Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to rise above their annual average; therefore it will be hot in most parts of the Kingdom and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), a slight drop in mercury levels is forecast for Thursday, but they will soar once again on Friday. Therefore, similar hot conditions will prevail in most parts of the country with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

Temperatures expected in the capital for today will range between a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 23 at night, while mercury levels in the gulf of Aqaba will hit 44 degrees Celsius plunging to 31, the JMD added.
