Egyptian FM receives phone call from French counterpart

CAIRO, 12th July, 2016 (WAM) -- Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, has briefed his French counterpart, Jean-Marc Ayrault, in a phone call regarding the results of his visit to Israel.

During the call, Shoukry re-affirmed the Egyptian stance towards Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, supporting the restoration of peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis. Both sides agreed to continue consulting over the issue.

During the phone call, both sides also discussed the follow-up of the results of the Paris conference supporting the peace process and coordination between Egypt and France, where it was agreed to continue consultation and coordination during the next phase of the process.
