(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) An Emirati woman, in her forties, escaped certain death after her husband, a UAE national, in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah today (Saturday).
A top police officer late on Saturday said the woman was shot several times by her husband in their house. Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the RAK Police, said the Central Operations Room, alerted of the mishap late on Saturday, dispatched an ambulance and paramedics to the house. "Initial investigations show that the suspect shot his wife several times apparently following a heated argument late on Saturday." The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital and her health condition is stable," he added. "The man, also in his forties, handed himself in to the police immediately after shooting his wife." Maj-Gen Nuaimi pointed out that investigations are on to identify the reasons behind the crime. "The husband has not revealed his motives for shooting his wife in cold blood."
