Recently, over 130 society members and guests got together to celebrate iftar for charity.

The aim of the annual event organised by the OSE is to reinforce the pillar of generosity during the holy month of Ramadan.

This year, the event was held at Bab Idriss, located in Oman Avenues Mall and was host to not only its members and guests but also to the children and families of Dar al Hanan, an outreach programme dedicated to serve the needs of children with cancer who reside outside of Muscat as well as the needs of the children from the Omani Bahja Orphan Society, whose mission is to foster philanthropy in the local community in order to educate and empower orphaned and vulnerable children.

The proceedings included giving gifts, a puppet show and trips to local entertainment centres.

The Oman Society of Engineers would like to extend sincere gratitude to the companies and individuals who supported and contributed to the evening as without them, the success of the event would have not been possible. These include Khatib & Alami and Partners, Design Group Engineering, Kiddie Zone, Baby Shop, Funtazmo and Happy Land.
