Dubai Cares, Dubai Holding join hands to boost literacy among poor


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) To improve underprivileged children''s access to quality education, Dubai Holding has entered into a partnership with Dubai Cares as part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives.

The global investment company will adopt specific educational programmes designed to help children go to school in economically challenged and under-served communities worldwide, specifically in Senegal and Nepal.

The Dubai Holding will support this noble cause in the UAE through Dubai Cares'' Volunteer Emirates initiative - local and international volunteering opportunities - for employees in schools supported by Dubai Cares.

"This special initiative, marking our first collaboration with Dubai Cares, has been widely welcomed across the group. We are very proud to be supporting the humanitarian efforts of our leadership that transcend borders. Aligned with the vision of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, we believe that education is one of the most effective tools to break the cycle of poverty.
