ASX All Ordinaries sits on fence as buyers square off with sellers

The Australian equity market has traded in a very tight 20 point band today, and late in the session, the ASX All Ordinaries was flat at 5310.
It was a similar story on Wall Street overnight, with the benchmark indexes little changed.
Gold stocks continued to do well, as the yellow metal touched on a 2-year high.

Oil Search (ASX:OSH) down 0.6% to $6.91; Santos (ASX:STO) down 0.2% to $4.74; Woodside Petroleum (ASX:WPL) up 0.1% to $26.59.

ANZ Bank (ASX:ANZ) up 0.2% to $23.11; Commonwealth Bank (ASX:CBA) down 0.4% to $72.17; National Australia Bank (ASX:NAB) down 0.2% to $24.42; Westpac (ASX:WBC) down 0.8% to $28.12.
