Middle East Carriers traveler traffic grows by 11.8 percent


(MENAFN) Middle East carriers posted an 11.8 percent increase in demand in May compared to a year earlier, which was the largest among regions.

On the other hand, capacity grew by 15.6 percent, while load factor declined by 2.4 percentage points to 71.9 percent.

Accordingly, demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometers) increased 4.6 percent, compared to the same month in 2015.

Furthermore, many factors were behind this demanded growth, which included terrorist activity and the fragile state of the global economy.
