Dallas police HQ cleared after alert due to suspicious person reports


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, July 10 (KUNA) -- Dallas police headquarters gave the all clear after being placed on high alert on Saturday due to reports of the presence of a suspicious person.

"Officers have completed manual search of the garage. No suspect found," the statement said.

"Police employees have been allowed to access their vehicles and leave... No suspicious person or items found," it said after mentioning that all of the building has "been cleared." Earlier, the Texas city''s police department said it had "received an anonymous threat against law enforcement across the city and has taken precautionary measures." "Officers are searching the police parking garage for a suspicious person," said the police department.

However, it denied media reports of a shooting, saying that they were "incorrect" and that "no shots" were fired.
